Introduction
This guide will show you how to replace the engine air filter in your 2013–2016 Scion FR-S (also known as the Toyota GT86). A dirty air filter can reduce your car’s power and lower fuel efficiency.
Dealerships recommend replacing the engine air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, depending on driving conditions.

Press the release tabs on both sides of the glove box at the same time using both hands to disengage the stoppers.

Carefully slide or pull the glove box dampener—the small arm attached to the right side of the glove box—away from the glove box to disconnect it.

Push the glove box back up and snap the side stoppers back in.

Reconnect the dampener arm on the right side.

Put your items back in, close it up, and you’re done!
