Background
The Nespresso Vertuo Next, released in 2020, is a single serve coffee machine that introduced Bluetooth connectivity to Nespresso's Vertuo series. It uses a barcode scanning technology to automatically change the brewing settings for different sized capsules, with five options from 1.35 oz to 14 oz. Designed to be compact, and space saving it has a distinctive rounded shape and a 37oz water tank in the back. While it was designed to have many different smart features, many users have reported reliability issues, particularly with leaking and mechanical malfunctions.
Identification
The Vertuo Next has a slimmer profile than the other models in the Vertuo line while still being just as tall with its width coming at only 5.5 in. Its appearance is very distinct, with a matte black body and a light-colored housing on the front with the silver Nespresso logo. Printed on the bottom of the base plate is the words "TYPE: ENV120W." The Vertuo Next is made up of a 40% recycled plastic material, which is the only material used for the main body of the Vertuo Next. The 37oz water tank is cylindrical in shape and is made from a transparent plastic, which is situated at the back. The Vertuo Next also has a rectangular removable waste tray located on the right center side of the Vertuo Next.
