Inleiding

Als de batterij van je controller niet meer goed functioneert, kun je batterij met behulp van deze handleiding vervangen. Om deze handleiding te voltooien, zul je een Phillips #00 schroevendraaier nodig hebben. Deze vervanging vereist het verwijderen van een aantal schroeven om toegang te krijgen tot de batterij.

    • Draai de controller om zodat de stickers in de richting van het plafond wijzen.

    Be carefull, these screws are super easy to strip even with the right tools.

    I tried editing these instructions after I had trouble with stripping screws, but it doesn't seem to take. The issue is that these are JIS and not Phillips screws. They are VERY similar looking but a Phillips head screwdriver will strip the screws.

    Don't even think about trying Phillips. There are some other guides online that say you'll be fine, but they're wrong. Even one attempt with Phillips WILL strip these, and you will never, ever get this controller open once that happens. Even with JIS they're really hard to get out and really easy to strip.

    These screws were very tight on my controller. I stripped out the head of one of them despite using plenty of pressure. I was able to push down very hard as I turned to get the screw head out far enough that I could complete the unscrewing with a small pliers.

    • Gebruik een Phillips #00 schroevendraaier om de vier zilveren 5 mm schroeven die de doorzichtige, plasticen cover bevestigen, te verwijderen.

    • Haal de doorzichtige, plasticen cover weg met je vingernagel.

    • Verwijder de lithium-ion batterij door deze met behulp van je vingernagel of een plasticen openingstool aan de linkerkant omhoog te duwen. Je hebt hiervoor slechts een beetje kracht nodig.

Conclusie

Om je toestel weer in elkaar te zetten, volg je deze instructies in omgekeerde volgorde.

You can buy them directly in the iFixit Europe or in your case in the Germany store.

Used the iFixit PH00 and it stripped my screws

Taken directly from iFixit themselves.

"Bits with the prefix "J" and "PH" are often thought to be the same bit. Don't be fooled by their similar appearance—they are quite different.

Phillips (PH) screws are designed to make a Phillips screwdriver cam out if too much torque is applied. This prevents damage to screws and screwdrivers or bits.

Japanese Industrial Standard (J) screws do not provide a cam-out option, and have 90 degree corners."

This guide calls for a JIS00 and not PH00, So that is why the screws stripped.

Thanks for sharing this "how to" guide. Upon replacing my battery I realize that there was a malfunctioning into the USB-C port which was not charging batteries through the controller port. I'm writing this in order to alert some people that the problem with batteries been depleted can be related to charging issues. Check it before replacing batteries! =)

The battery says to charge it to 100% + 2 hours and then use the controller so that it uses up the entire battery and then charge to 100% again. If you're not playing Nintendo for hours, how do you use up the battery in the controller?
