Bedford Cycle Network
Bedford Cycle Network is a set of signposted cycle routes in Bedford. It comprises 27 radial routes (numbered 1 to 26 plus 8A) along with the Bedford Green Wheel orbital route. Various other cycle routes are available in the town, but may not have numbered signage.

2008-2013: Allocations and Designations Plan
The Bedford Green Wheel was originally featured in planning documents from 2009, and has been developed over time.

2020-2021: Town Deal Accelerator Fund
Cycle routes were originally given a number in 2017, with basic signposting at the start of each route. In 2021, following funding from central government, numbered signs were installed along each route.
