Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology

The Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology (short HeiGIT) gGmbH is a non profit company based in Heidelberg, Germany, associated with Heidelberg University and core-funded by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung (KTS). The objective of the HeiGIT gGmbH is to improve knowledge and technology transfer from the fundamental geoinformatic research to practical applications. Till 2018 the HeiGIT was a project within the GIScience Research Group at Heidelberg University.
