The =* key indicates whether a pedestrian, bicycle, equestrian, or similar crossing has warning signs to alert oncoming motor vehicles to the crossing's presence. This is similar to the purpose of flashing_lights=*. The two are sometimes found on the same sign post, but some crossings only have signs and no flashing lights.

Values

  • =yes – One or more warning signs are present at the crossing.
  • =no – No warning signs are present at the crossing.
