A name in
Dutch (Nederlands), a language spoken in a number of countries, but most significantly the Netherlands and the
Flanders region of Belgium.
This tag is useful when an entity has names specified in more than one language:
- If
name=*is in Dutch too then=*specifies that this is (also) Dutch. - If
name=*is in a different language then=*specifies an alternate name in Dutch.

Regional variations
Dutch is spoken in a handful of countries — most predominantly in the Netherlands and in the Belgian region of Flanders. In the vast majority of cases =* will be accurate for all users of Dutch, but in a few rare exceptions regional variations may exist. Where this is the case, more specific keys may be used. For example, the city of Lille in the north of France is usually called Rijsel in Flanders, but Lille in the Netherlands:
