Shape

Specifies the shape of the signal. Different signals with different shapes may display similar states with the same meanings. In other words, a state alone does not always indicate the type or shape of the signal on which it is displayed.

In some cases, the tag may be complemented with a railway:signal:main:type tag to accurately describe the layout of the signal and its lights.
