This tag is used to describe the general shape of a feature. This can be either two-dimensional (e.g., circular) or three-dimensional (e.g., spherical).

Both nouns and adjectives are currently in use as values. For example, rectangle (noun) and rectangular (adjective). For consistency, it may be best to only use the adjective form (e.g., circular, spherical, rectangular).
Note that, in English, some shapes have the same noun and adjective form (e.g., square, oval).
How to tag
Add =* to a mapped feature (e.g., man_made=manhole or barrier=block) to describe its shape.
