General notes:

  • please set swisstopo:BFS_NUMMER=* to the new BFS ref for newly created boundaries, this is ugly but we need the BFS number for statistical purposes
  • in general it is a good idea not to immediately remove the old boundary relations, retag them to boundary=historic or similar
  • if place nodes for the original municipalities are missing please add them or else search and navigation will not work
