An arm barrier (boom gate, boom barrier) is a bar, or pole pivoted (rotates upwards to open) in such a way as to allow the bar to block vehicular access through a controlled point. Combine with access=* where appropriate.
Note that "lift gate", term used in OSM tagging is not used in actual English.
How to map
Tag a node with barrier=. A tiny proportion of cases (0.01%) tag a way instead.
