This tag is usually used in combination with shop=clothes to further specify which kind of clothes the shop is specialized in.

Sells sportive clothes (e.g. jerseys, swimsuits, sports underwear).

If the shop also sells sports equipment (e.g. balls, skis, scubas), use shop=sports instead.
