A preferred or designated route for pedestrians. In general this means that it is designed or managed for foot traffic often there is a (explicit) sign saying something like "pedestrians allowed", or a pedestrian icon. For example a sidewalk or official hiking trail should use foot= but an informal path would be foot=yes.
