A roadworks hazard indicates there may be workers on the roadway. Road workers may not be fully aware of the vehicles around them. Drivers should be extra cautious.
How to map
Tagging can be applied to the affected section of road, as well as the location of the signage:
- Add
hazard=to a
traffic_sign=hazardthat warns for the roadworks. Alternatively, use a country-specific code fortraffic_sign=*(see below for examples). - Add
hazard=to the section of
highway=*where the roadworks occur. If the end of roadworks is also marked with a traffic sign, continuehazard=until that sign, otherwise use common sense.
