A washout is a section of road which has been breached by flooding, presenting a risk to motorists.

How to map

There are two tagging methods:

  • node Place a node at the location of the traffic sign, tagged traffic_sign=hazard + hazard=. This node can be a vertex of the highway, or be placed on the side of the road.
  • way Add hazard= to the highway=* line.
