A halting site is a residential area designated for (static) caravans and mobile homes, as used by Travellers — i.e., persons of various ethnic and cultural descent who live in a caravan, mobile home, or other vehicle rather than a fixed abode.
This tag should not be confused with
tourism=camp_site– for tourism, temporary travel for entertainment purposesresidential=trailer_park– mobile home park; long term residence in buildings that are technically mobile (popular in USA)
