route=coach could describe a relation that maps a route of a coach service.

This tag is unofficially used on relations that map the route of a coach service: as of 19 August 2014, there were 48 relations with this tag. In 2017, a proposal was drafted, but it is now marked as obsolete. Many coach routes currently use route=bus instead.

OSM wiki is not aware of any formal proposals to move coach routes in the UK from route=bus to this tag. For now, route=bus remains the "tag of best fit" to describe coach routes *in the UK* until we have a clearer picture.
