Intelligence is a bimonthly peer-reviewed scientific journal devoted to the psychological study of intelligence published by Elsevier. It has a history of publishing pseudoscience and scientific racism.[1][2][3][4]
As of 2025 the new editors-in-chief are Dragos Iliescu and Samuel Greiff.[5] They published an editorial that breaks with some of the contested traditions of the journal, in particular pseudoscience and scientific racism [6]
Former editor Richard Haier was a signatory on the 1994 Wall Street Journal editorial Mainstream Science on Intelligence. Perhaps Haier's most controversial decision as editor has been to allow racialist pseudoscientists to serve on the journal's editorial board.[7]

Advocates of hereditarianism and HBD pseudoscience that were on the editorial board include[8]:
As of 2025, Richard Haier and Heiner Rindermann are not listed on the board anymore. Since the beginning of the term of the new editors, the board has changed substantially and now reflects increased diversity. [9]
Papers
Intelligence has most controversially published papers by far-right individuals and white supremacists:
Some of these papers are currently re-evaluated to see whether they meet current scientific standards.
