Aline Levesque
Aline Levesque was a member of the Celestial Chorus and founder of the Nine Fires.
Biography
As a teen, Levesque used the Catholic rosary to endure her terrible migraines. When she was eighteen, she Awakened during one of these prayer sessions, experiencing a vision of the Holy Spirit. She claimed angels guided her to the Celestial Chorus, and she quickly became a powerful Singer.
She participated in a multi-Tradition cabal for a few years, but became dissatisfied with the influence of the counterculture on the Traditions, which to her looked like dangerous radicalism and hedonistic self-indulgence. She founded the Nine Fires in San Franscisco in 1972, believing herself to be on a divine mission to revitalize and defend the Chorus. That conviction slowing twisted into fanaticism over time, aided by the high body count of the Nine Fires' missions; by 1985, she was the only founding member left alive.
Levesque gradually relaxed her criteria for admission to the Nine Fires, enabling the Nephandus Herr Flax to infiltrate it in 1998. The combination of Flax's betrayal and the Reckoning drove Levesque into Quiet for several years, during which time Govinder Singh took over leadership of the choir and renamed it Interfaith Outreach.
Eventually, Levesque emerged from Quiet, desiring to re-take leadership of her old cabal and turn it once again in a more militant direction, but without repeating the same mistakes of the past.
