Amemait

Amemait is the personified monster of Egyptian mythology that devours the hearts of those who stride too far from the Path of Ma'at. It represents the "pure" concept of destruction that weeds out the wicked and enables the just to live without interference from evil. The Judges of Ma'at are known to toss the heart of a renegade Mummy into Amemait to destroy the immortal completely.

Speculation

Amemait may represent an uncorrupted version of the maw of Apophis (who, in turn, is sometimes identified with the Wyrm) or Oblivion, since its epithome "The Destroyer" bears some resemblance to the original purpose of both forces.
