Anthemios of Thralles

Anthemios of Tralles, sometimes referred to as the Muse of Architecture, was a childe of Mi-ka-il, the Patriarch of Constantinople.

Biography

In his lifetime, Anthemios was an accomplished mathematician and earned himself the Embrace from Mi-ka-il after the completion of the Hagia Sophia in 532 CE. In the following years, Anthemios was responsible for the erection of many buildings, until he became influenced by his sire's pervasive delusions of godhood. Although he tried to remedy this by bringing promising architects to his sire to receive inspiration, his buildings became more and more uniform as his own inspiration began to fade.

It is not known if Anthemios survived the sacking of Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade.
