Arete (Scion)

Arete is the signature Purview of the Dodekatheon, representing the drive for excellence in all things.

Boons

Rather than granting specific powers, Arete allows a Scion to excel in a few chosen fields. By assigning an Arete to an Ability (which must already be rated three dots or higher), the Scion gains either bonus dice to rolls with that Ability or a chance to re-roll if the first roll fails. The number of bonus dice vary based on the Arete level assigned to the Ability; every re-roll 'costs' two dice from the bonus.
