Ban-Durrag

The Ban-Durrag is a society of Sluagh witch-women in the Highlands of Scotland.

Overview

The Ban-Durrag are said to live in the holes and crevices in the stone of the Highlands. When the people built the first sewers, these Sluagh sorceresses found hidden passages through the roots of the earth and connected their grottos in the Highlands to the stink of the cities. The watched. They listened to the waitings and whining, and sometimes they struck.

The sluagh Gruach is said to be of their number.
