Blackeye the Turk

Blackeye the Turk was the de facto leader of Paris’s Moon Court at the time of the 1654 eclipse.

Overview

Active in the 1600s in Paris, Blackeye was a skilled con-man who enjoyed stirring up trouble for the local Sun Court. Of particular note were his schemes during the eclipse of 1654 against the duelist and poet Madame Hadija, who was renowned for her eloquence, martial skill, and kindness of heart.
