Blaidd
Blaidd, also known as the Beast or just Wolf, was a bestial Gangrel who terrorized the peasants of Rhufoniog (Wales), during the Dark Ages.
Biography
Blaidd was an elder with numerous childer in the region of Rhufoniog, and was some sort of bogeyman to the natives. His glaring eyes made clear he had abandoned his humanity long ago, and he looked much like a wolf—pointed snout, bared fangs, ears laid back, hackles raised—yet it stood on two legs.
The Gangrel was finally tracked down by Owain ap Ieuan, who stalked one of his childer, following him to the sire's lair (a hidden cave that stood behind weather-beaten birch trees). He then convinced his nephew (the mortal noble Morgan ap Ieuan) to enter the cave during the day armed with only his torch, a spear, and his courage.
Owain had instructed the young man about the vampiric weaknesses (such as fire, sunlight and the good old stake through the heart) and, surprisingly, Morgan's attack was successful. He pierced Blaidd's heart - but not before sustaining grievous wounds himself.
After sunset Owain visited the cave and found a dying Morgan and a staked Gangrel. Owain used his Blood to heal his nephew and proceeded to the Diablerie of the helpless Animal - an act that would infuriate the Gangrel of his lineage.
