Consanguineous
The term consanguineous is used to note that two or more vampires are literal Kindred — that is, they share some undead lineage, whether it is through a shared sire, grandsire, or some more distant ancestor. At the extreme, the term could denote shared membership in a bloodline or even in a clan, though this usage is rare; the term is most often used to note a more direct relation in the blood.
In older editions of Vampire: The Masquerade (including Vampire: The Dark Ages), the term was spelled "consanguineus", with the understanding that that the term was mainly used by elders of a lineage to refer to their younger Kindred. The term Blood Kindred was used as a synonym in these editions, minus the connotation of a disparity in age and generation.
