Caren
Biography
| “ | There's a silent flame in you, that could become an inferno if left unchecked. I sure hope it will. | ” |
| — Caren to Julia, just before Embracing her | ||
In 2019, she came to New York City to search for a mortal worthy of the Embrace who could make political inroads for the Clan within the city. Looking for someone who was more than they appeared to be, while also considering the Court's desire to keep them in their firm grasp, Caren eventually found what she believed to be an effective compromise in Julia Sowinski, an investigative journalist. She took Hester Reed's unlife as a token sacrifice ensuring Julia's entry into the Camarilla.
Julia described Caren's voice as 'raspy and androgynous'.
She is loosely associated with Sierra Van Burrace, and it was mentioned that she can speak on the behalf of the entire Chicago-based clan.
Trivia
Her character is an homage to Casanova in The Addiction.
