Children of Annihilation
The Children of Annihilation are a secret, radical sect of Unseelie Kithain who work towards the total eradication of the Seelie Court.
Overview
The Children are perhaps one of the most dangerous threats to changeling society since the Sundering. These extremists, many of them Modernists or Anarchists, have a simple reasoning: only the most ruthless (i.e. Unseelie) can survive Endless Winter and so they must cull the weaklings (i.e. Seelie fae) from the herd. They also believe that as Glamour is fading from the world at an alarming rate, Banality will one day become the sustenance of the fae and so they deliberately court Banality in an attempt to make themselves immune, or at least resistant to its effects.
The tactics of the Children of Annihilation include the deliberate murder of Seelie fae using cold iron weapons to remove their souls forever from the Dreaming. More subtle actions involving seeding Seelie freeholds with objects made of cold iron and kidnapping Seelie childlings to convert them.
One of their most fanatic members, Gadiel ap Balor, resides in the Kingdom of Willows in a freehold recently constructed near Oak Ridge, Tennessee, the site of early atomic bomb research. Whether or not they are completely mad, this group causes terror and havoc whenever they do a raid.
