Chimerical Exoskeleton

A Chimerical Exoskeleton is a Nocker Treasure ranking anywhere from Level 1 to Level 5.

Overview

Chimerical Exoskeletons are large suits of automated metal armor that provide a wearer with protection and impose fewer Dexterity penalties than conventional armor does. An advanced or larger suit can also increase its wearer's Strength. Chimerical exoskeletons are usually powered by FUBARs and steam-driven hydraulics as well as by ingenious systems of gears, pulleys, and counterweights. Each suit is custom made for the client who may specify the general appearance and any additional features they want added, like Razor Claws, for example.

A suit may be activated with one point of Glamour to function for a scene, no matter how many features are built into it.

System

The sizes of different kith determine the ratings and penalties of their exoskeleton armor. The size also determines its Background cost as well, though the Storyteller can always modify this based on the number of additional features a suit has or how elaborate it is.

Levels

  1. Nocker: Armor 3, Dexterity penalty 0
  2. Pooka: Armor 4, Dexterity Penalty 0
  3. Satyr: Armor 5, Dexterity Penalty 0
  4. Redcap: Armor 6, Strength + 1, Dexterity Penalty 1
  5. Troll: Armor 7, Strength + 2, Dexterity Penalty 1
