New York, March 21, 1992: Howard Barclay, renowned Wall Street venture capitalist, yesterday announced he is leaving dark and dreary New York City for warmer climes. "I've always loved LA," he says. "And I can't withstand its pull any longer."

Barclay, a philanthropist and lover of life, says the next time the world hears of him, it will be for very different reasons: "If I didn't love money I wouldn't have entered this business, but there comes a time when you just have to do follow your heart."
