The confessions of Gaspard
Confessions in Red is Journal entry in the Stories section, unlocked by retrieving collectibles in the form of Octahedrons in VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt . Collecting each part of the story involves entering separate matches, with one Octahedron appearing on the map per match. Each Octahedron unlocks a new portion of the story entry, and must be collected in order.
Part 1
- I should have seen what was going on when the new Prince, Carlak, accepted Maia in the Primogen Council of Prague. At the time, I resigned myself to being given the cold shoulder. The former Prince was, after all, my sire. But Maia, my sister of sorts, being allowed not only to keep her position but to advance? A clueless neonate party princess, not even close to having the political guile the position required?

Part 2
- I had played my cards well. By the time the usurper Carlak was forced to abdicate for the failure we know as the Convention of Prague, the new Prince, Markus, was one of my closest allies. I had helped him get the support of important members of Clan Toreador in exchange for a place in his Primogen. While the guests gathered for the ceremony, I was exultant. Long had I bided my time. But the deck was stacked against me.

Part 3
- When Markus announced that Maia would stay as Primogen, I bit my tongue again. Either I had to accept the shame, knowing that Vasily ever returned, he would punish me for my incompetence and cowardice, or I must risk my unlife to uphold my sire's honor.

- I used what connections and resources I still had to contract a solution to my dilemma. The assassin cost most of what I had, but no price would be too great. Or so I convinced myself.

Part 5
- I was awaiting a call from the assassin to tell me Maia was no more. Instead, I got a visit by the Sheriff. I confessed long before he was done with me. I tried to appeal to his heart of justice, but he wouldn't hear of it. I had acted in violation of the sixth Tradition, plotting the destruction of another Kindred without the approval of the Prince. And a Primogen at that.
- I hereby confess to my crime and accept my punishment. If my beloved sire ever reads this, know that I sought to uphold your honor, not to cause disgrace.
