Court of Steel and Sky
The Court of Steel and Sky is a Founding Temple located at Aswan, Egypt. The court is known for its rivalry with the northern Setite temples and its embrace of modern technology.
History
Records seem to indicate that the temple of Aswan is far older than its current incarnation, dating back to one of the residences of Set himself after he was driven back from Lower Egypt. The current Court leadership has abandoned much of the conceits and antiquated traditions of other Egyptian temples and instead focuses on modern technology. Chief among their rivals within the Clan is the Dream Court of Cairo. The former advisor of Prince Antonius, Jubal, now works as the Vizier of the Court of Steel and Sky. His grudge against Prince Mukhtar Bey of Cairo is part of their heated rivalry.
The Setites of the Aswan temple were famously involved in dealing with the UNESCO and the USAID regarding the construction of the Aswan High Dam in 1970. Setite agents manipulated the negotiations in their favor to use the flow of the water to cause significant damage to important holdings of the Osirian League. While the effort proved futile, it remains a project of large prestige and pride.
The Court of Steel and Sky has a working relation with a tribe of Lupines with a similar focus in modern technology. The Court has a satellite temple near Abu Simbel, which watches over the far more aggressive local Lupine population. How that temple is related with the Arena of Thunder, or if they are the same, is not known.
