Days of Balance (CTD)

The Days of Balance are the Vernal and Autumnal Equinoxes. They are celebrated as Festivals by the Kithain as times when the powers of light and dark are evenly matched.

Overview

In the past, when the Seelie and Unseelie Courts shared power, these dates were seen as signals for the coming in change of power. Since the Resurgence, the Seelie have kept most of the power and not reentered into the old ways of splitting the year. This, the Shadow Court claims, has thrown the world into imbalance, an imbalance they will correct any way possible. As both dates are blatant reminders to the Seelie that they are not relinquishing power, it is the Unseelie who usually remember these days, even if it is a bit bitterly.
