Faction (MTAs)
A faction is a division of one of the nine Traditions of mages. Some factions are discrete political entities, while others are only descriptors that are used as shorthand to classify or stereotype members of that Tradition.
The equivalent subdivisions in the Conventions of the Technocratic Union are called methodologies.
