Five Emperors

The Five Emperors are legendary figures in the history of the Kuei-jin, credited with the foundation of their political system.

Overview

The exact identity or names of the Five Emperors are unknown, only that they were in all likelihood powerful Wan Xian before the curse. Each personifying one of the cardinal Directions, they halted the spread of the Demon Warrior Empire. Instead, they established the Five August Courts as the successor to Meru. The Five Emperors predated Xue's teachings, but quickly converted when they received the wisdom of the Fivefold Way.

Eventually, the Five Emperor's transcended to the Hundred Clouds, with the last Emperor to leave the Middle Kingdom being the founder of the Yellow Emperor Court.
