Forsaken
The Forsaken are the werewolves descended from those who slew Father Wolf and swore an oath to their mother Luna to fulfil his duties. They now stand together as the Tribes of the Moon to guard the barrier between the worlds of spirit and matter.
Their name comes from the fact that after Father Wolf's death, they were forsaken by their allies: Luna, who cursed all Uratha; the spirits, who resent their policing and see the Gauntlet as their fault, and their fellow Uratha, who are now known as the Pure Tribes. Few in number but strong in purpose, they have regained some of Luna's favor through their oath; she grants them Auspices and the aid of her Lunes, and has lessened the curses she levied against all werewolves.
