Founders Lord

The Founders lord, according to tales told by the Striges, was one of the leaders of a long-forgotten clan calling itself the Founders.

Overview

In those ancient times, the Damned still thought themselves human and bore human consciences. They felt no urge to feed, and the dichotomy between their needs and their desires cursed them.

This lord sought some relief for his people, traveling for nights on end. He found the Striges past some boundary into a land of death. He begged them for help. They agreed, their help coming in the form of the Beast, with the caveat that he and his kind not disappoint. They entered into him and created vampiric hunger.

Unfortunately, the vampires' mimicry of human society was a disappointment to them. In recompense, the Striges struck the lord's clan, killing them and riding their corpses, using them to turn allies against one another.

Assuming he truly existed, the fate of the Founders lord is unknown, though he likely fell during the Owls' revenge.
