Freehold of Golden Creation

Located in Mannheim, Germany, the Freehold of Golden Creation is noted for having been active during the story changes that followed in the wake of the publishing of the Brothers’ Grimm stories in the 19th century.

Background

This freehold has long been ruled by two Courts, each focused on the act of creation: the Court of Sciences and the Court of Arts. The decision of which ruled the freehold was based in the twice-yearly Golden Contest, in which changelings would create some artistic piece or invention, or develop a scientific theory, or some other creative process, with the winner being the one with the “finest” work. The Court of the winner would lead the freehold.
