Grigori
The Grigori were a host of angels some 200-strong who descended to Earth to teach mortals the ways of laws and justice. They eventually Fell, taking human wives, fornicating, and granting mortals forbidden knowledge, which they used to commit atrocities. In punishment, God flooded the Earth and tore the wings from the backs of the Grigori.
These fallen angels now wander the Earth, some seeking penance and others cursing the name of God. Among their number are Azazel, Samyaza, Barqel, Penemue, and Kokabiel.
