Hall of Endless Doorways

The Hall of Endless Doorways was a term used to refer to a set of freeholds, all bearing certain shared characteristics, used by the changelings of the Three Kingdoms period of China.

Overview

All Halls of Endless Doorways were accessed via the use of medallions keyed to a particular set of Directional Courts ― specifically, the Seven Claws of Shu, Heaven's People of Wu, and the Still Pond of Wei. Each set had its own Hall.

Every Hall was located in the Hedge on the edges of the kingdoms and bore doorways whose end-points were in constant flux. They were thought to be controlled by Heaven, and so would take their entrant to wherever they were most needed, though some changelings succeeded in manipulating the expected destination.
