Harbingers of Exodus

The Harbingers of Exodus are a heretical sect within House Beaumayn that follow the teachings of Markesh, the younger brother.

Overview

After Duke Geremin gave his teaching, Markesh, the younger brother, took his words to heart and believed them, teaching them as gospel to the fae of House Beaumayn (and others). Under the leadership of Lord Vandermere, the main goals of the Harbingers seem to be to locate and map out the lost Iron Road trod, then to reconstruct the rituals of cold iron that allows one to set free a faerie soul on the path of the Exodus. These fae are supremely dangerous enemies for they, as Beaumayn, have the same gifts of prophecy, remember much of the time before the Shattering, and have few qualms about using cold iron on their enemies because they see in it salvation to the faerie soul. They are bound, though, by the ancient oath of the brothers to keep the conflict in-house.

While a few of those of House Beaumayn who chose to be Unseelie make up a number of the Harbingers' ranks, most of them are quite Seelie in their ways. They truly believe they are doing what must be done to save the fae and if the means they use seem horrid, it's only because the truth is usually hard to endure. Twisted logic, but logic just the same. Remember that if you try to cast them all as villains.
