House Blood-Red Crest

Glyph of Blood-Red Crest.

House Blood Red Crest is a Silver Fang house from Asia and India.

Overview

The Blood Red Crest has been a respected power in Asia and India for thousands of years. Tribe members migrated east with the earliest humans, settling in what are now India, Pakistan, China, Burma and Vietnam. When European Garou colonized these regions, the Crest supported them by breeding with the European Fangs' stock. They then went back to running things their way, though they incorporated elements of European style in their manner.

Named for their ferocious fighting style, members of the Blood Red Crest are a small but potent force in the East. They seem to understand the strange shapeshifters and stranger vampires that live there, and are certainly the only ones of the tribe that have successfully maintained a presence in the area. They sometimes remark that the enemies they face would be unfamiliar to the rest of the Fangs.

However, the house suffers a terrible tragedy. It has failed to birth a single new cub in the past five years. King Palmarstan Nayar, who was poised to life the house out of Harano, but with no new cubs, no new Rites of Passage, they have fallen back into their deep depression. They have lost so many caerns in India to encroaching development or supernatural forces, that the futre seems nothing but a void to them.

The tribe has fallen back, relinquishing territories, to gather around what few caerns they still hold. This has strengthened them - temporarily. Their increased numbers in smaller regions emboldens them, and rubbing shoulders with one another after long separations has renewed their culture, but it cannot last. Some in this house are said to pray for the Apocalypse, that it might give them one final battle in which to prove themselves.

Some speculate that there are indeed cubs being born true, but that the Kin Fetches have become corrupt and hide them - or worse, find a means to have the children slain before their Firsting. An investigation is required, but it will take commitment and time to unravel the mystery.
