Ialdabaoth

Ialdabaoth is a personification of evil believed in by some mages and vampires.

Overview

According to some Nephandi mages, Ialdabaoth is the essence of evil and the source of all the flaws in existence. They claim that it is made up of two aspects: Ial, representing its cunning and intellect, and the Wyrm, representing its brute strength and emotion. They claim that the Wyrm known to the Garou and Dreamspeakers is merely this second aspect. They also claim that Lucifer is a facet of Ialdabaoth.

Ialdabaoth is said to resemble a great serpent and to reside in the Deep Umbra. It is extremely cunning and uses temptation to corrupt its victims. It is served by Nephandi, demons, and serpent spirits.

Ialdabaoth is also called Jaldabaorh, a common Gnostic name for the Demiurge.
