Ignacio Rinieri
Ignacio Rinieri was a Lasombra Abyss Cultist that had sought to restore the disembodied spirit of Lasombra.
Biography
Little of known about Ignacio's mortal life and he himself has forgotten most details. Embraced during the War of Princes from noble Genoese stock that stood in close contact with the Clan of Shadows, Ignacio had come to the Castel of Shadows when the Anarchs attacked. He had tried to defend [Lasombra], but could not stand against them and fled. Together with other Abyss Mystics, he threw himself into the study of Abyss Mysticism to search for the Antediluvian. In the same time, he, along with the rest of the coven, became more and more determined to bring about the end of existence, greatly distancing himself from the world of the living. Taking up residence in the ruined Castle of St.Rafael the Archangel, they slowly plotted their advance. In 2000, they managed to reach what they believed to be [Lasombra] within the Abyss, who instructed them to prepare his return.
Seeking ways in which to end the world, the cabal began to summon more powerful abyssal creatures into the world and sought ways to undermine those that would possibly stand against them, like the Lasombra Zarathustra. After being discovered, Ignacio pleaded for consideration and carefulness to not jeopardize the whole work of the cabal. In order to settle the argument, Ignacio and his fellow cabal members sought guidance from [Lasombra]. The instructions they received, however, appeared garbled and unclear. Since it was Ignacio that had warned them, the rest of the cabal bowed to his instructions. To seek further guidance, Ignacio entered a trance to communicate with the Antediluvian within the Abyss. Afterwards, the cabal decided to bring Mount Etna to eruption to blot out the sun. Slowly, the used their link to the Abyss to cause the earth to stir. They were interrupted by Lucita and a pack of hers that investigated the Castel of Shadows. Ignacio himself was captured by Montano, who showed him that what they had thought to be [Lasombra] was merely a shade that reflected the passions and emotions during the attack. Ignacio lost his mind to the revelation, blocking his own senses and becoming catatonic.
