Background Information

  • The object originally didn't exist, but Mercurio had dialog indicating it was available to be purchased. Modder Lenuska created it for her Arsenal Mod, and Unofficial Patch developer Wesp5 incorporated it into the Unofficial Patch. Endthewars further improved the model.[1]
  • In the base game, item_w_crossbow_flaming was used for flaming crossbows, a variant of Crossbow, but could only be used by NPCs. In the Plus version of the Unofficial Patch, all crossbows are Pyro Crossbows. This item was repurposed for the Dragon's Breath shotgun, the game's only gun which does Aggravated damage.
  • The Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to Be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects was concluded in 1980, but went into force in December 1983, and covers land mines, booby traps, incendiary devices, blinding laser weapons and clearance of explosive remnants of war. Protocol III restricts the use of incendiary weapons, including phosphorus rounds.
  • The Dragon's Breath shells are identical to 12 Gauge Tubefeed except with a "Ph" crudely drawn on the box and shells. As they're extremely illegal, phosphorus shells are typically homemade, often from normal shells.
