Item:Tarulfang

The Tarulfang is an occult item found in VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines . It can be acquired from Grout's Mansion on the ground next to one of the levers in the Shock Therapy room.

This heavy fang could only have belonged to a ferocious predatory beast. You feel at ease knowing there's one less of those in the world. Decreases your chance to frenzy.

Provides a -1 to Frenzy rolls.

When picked up, the item is initially Unknown:

Maybe if you were a bit more goth you would have a clue what this thingie is.

You need a Research skill of at least 4 to use this item.

Once the Research requirement has been met, the item is replaced with the Tarulfang.

Background Information

• Several occult items in the game are two objects: one dummy "unknown" item with a skill requirement, and then a full version of the item once the dummy item's requirements have been met.
• item_w_tzimisce3_claw, originally an unused "weapon" for Andrei, has been repurposed for the Unknown version of the Tarulfang.
• The fang appears to be hollow, suggesting it comes from an enormous snake, or some other venomous creature.
