John "Little Hell" Keeler is a Fire-Touched alpha of the Laughing Jackals pack in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Overview

John Keller is a handsome, witty painter who earned his deed name from a local arts magazine that cited his style appealing to the "little bit of hell in everyone." His work is fueled by his fascination with torture and self-flagellation, which in turn arose from his position as Truthcatcher and alpha for the Laughing Jackals. He made quite the splash on the local arts scene in Madrid and Santa Fe, gaining patrons and a reputation for never, ever telling a lie to a critic, client or colleague. His often less-than-complimentary remarks have made him many rivals, but he still rides a wave of popular press that can make meeting up with his pack difficult at times. He's very careful about whom he is seen with, and what he does in public.

Truth be told, John needs his pack. He secretly feels validated by his packmates' presence and their respect for him, and cares nothing for the adoration of patrons, critics or anyone else on the art scene. He paints not out of any great love, but because he feels a diminished sense of responsibility for his own sins if he creates something that pleases others - to him, art is simply another form of penance.
