Jonathan Sendak

Jonathan Sendak was the director of Bishopsgate Mental Asylum from 1974 to 1980.

Overview

Following Director Moorcock's lobotomy, the board of trustees decided it would be best to appoint an outsider as director. Sendak was chosen. He inherited an utter financial wreck, due to the variety of settlements the hospital had to make for Moorcock's psychosurgeries. In order to keep the place afloat, Sendak convinced the board of trustees to sell their interests to various pharmaceutical companies. These companies, in turn, recommended Thomas Bateman as Sendak's assistant.

Shortly thereafter, Sendak retired, leaving Bateman in charge.
