The spirit-speaker of her pack, Kalila Bleeding-Edge thrives in the urban landscape of Denver, Colorado. Socially savvy, witty, and sharp-tongued, she loves her concrete-paved hunting ground and has little patience for those who fail to see the beauty and danger in the city. Kalila revels in the double-edged "blessing" of being a werewolf, and is happy to have left behind the person she was before the First Change — reminders of her past can set her into terrible rages. Her pleasure in her condition often makes her too flashy for her own good, though, and she consistently attracts unwelcome attention from hostile spirits from her overt displays of spiritual power.
