Kapu'akua
The Kapu'akua is a type of Nocnitsa of the South Pacific.
Overview

This terrible nocnitsa haunts the dreams of the Menehune. It hunts down taboo breakers, trying to catch them before they can reach any of the places of refuge scattered throughout the islands. If caught, the taboo breaker rarely survives the Kapu'akua's assault. But if they can reach a refuge safely, the Kapu'akua (taboo ghost) has no power over them.
This chimera appears as a muscled warrior with a shark-tooth sword. But in place of a face, it has only a fearsomely carved mask. This mask is different to everyone who sees it, representing in some way the person's most feared figure of punishment (a representation of an old grammar school teacher, perhaps).
While the Kapu'akua only chases taboo breakers, it is known to hunt European fae who unknowingly break native taboos. Why it does this in some instances while ignoring the deeper trespasses of others is unknown.

- Guilt: Kapu'akua can shame his prey into surrendering to him for "just" punishment. He spends one point of Glamour and rolls Manipulation + Intimidation (difficulty 7). This is resisted by the taboo-breaker's Willpower. If the Kapu'akua is successful, the taboo breaker will loose resolve, convinces they cannot escape, and will stop running for one turn per success on the roll. Once these turns are up, if they are still alive, they may run again. They may defend themself against Kapu'akua's attacks during their ensorcellment, but may no initiate any attack against the chimera. This power may be attempted only once against a given target.
